Southeast Asia underwent its Golden Age from 6th century CE to 15th century CE. Hindu-Buddhist and Islamic kingdoms of Austronesian and Austroasiatic tribes ruled the mainland and the islands for over a thousand years. Although the Philippines was robbed of this history through colonization, a rediscovery and a revival of this age is slowly underway.
